Stamped T. B. Odom Pottery Texas Stoneware Jar
Description
Outstanding 1880s Stamped T.B. Odom (1834-?) Pottery Upshur County, Texas Stoneware Jar. This jar has an overfired alkaline glaze and classic Odom form also has a stamp that has been documented on pieces from Knox hill Florida. Also note the clay which is dark bluish is not indicative to Florida but to Texas. These examples are extremely scarce and highly sought after. This is a Cagle top shelf example. Found many years ago in Trees, LA on the Texas-LA border. Fresh to the market example. Condition: a few insignificant rim nicks. No cracks or repairs present. Standing: 8 ???" Tall
