Scarce Stunning & Large Crawford County Emmett or Billy Merritt Shop Three Gallon Bean Pot. Folks this is hands down one of the finest examples known of a two gallon bean pot. This examples has a stellar glaze with a strong lime green alkaline glaze on the front side with deep rich earthy brown modified lime glaze encasing the pot. Strong lug handles and again outstandin eye appeal. This pot will be extremley hard to find a compairable example too. Provenance: Ex-Rob Hicklin; Ex-Howard Smith, Ex-Carole Wahler Collection. The har has base firing lines and a few normal wear flakes and small chips to the rim, nothing distracting, typical lug edge glaze flaking-chiping from age, normal use and wear. Three small insignficant tight lines from rim, note-stable. No repairs present. Folks for Crawford County this doesnt get any better, find another one folks. Its a rare and beautiful bird.
