Description
Fine Crawford Co. Signed "HA" Henry Averett (1807-1870s?) Two Gallon Jug. This example is from the 1850s to the 1860s time period. Also, this jug bears a strong "HA" stamp in the handle and is one of Crawford county’s more sought-after marks/ potter. Examples by Henry Averett don’t often surface and again are coveted by collectors. This example has a fantastic mature and fluid lime alkaline glaze that has fantastic eye appeal. Thus, making this stamped HA jug truly a "Cagle Top Shelf Example". Provenance: fresh to the market example from a 40 plus-year private collection.
