Rare Crawford Co. Decorated 1gal Pitcher
Description
Rare Crawford County, Georgia Decorated One Gallon Pitcher from the 1840-50s time period. This example is attributed to the long family that has a long-standing dynasty of southern pottery in Crawford County. This example here has three rows of WAVY line decoration that goes all the way around the pitcher against a iron wash glaze. This example is in collector grade condition with two insignificant rim flakes that do not distract at all, no major chips, cracks or repairs present. Provenance: fresh to the market example from a 40 year plus private collection. This example will be extremely difficult to upgrade from due to decoration form and condition and being attributed to the Long family. Standing: 10 1/8" Tall
