Significant1830-50s Washington Coounty Documented Dough Bowl. Documented From the Plantation of Henry Sills Taylor of Washington County Georgia. Through oral and written from the family this poplar dough bowl was used by Aunt Mary (The Cook) to make biscuts for the plantation. This Example is documented in the book "Handed on ‘Folk Crafts in Southern Life’ " By Dr. John Burrison Photographed on page 25 #56. Also, displayed for many years at the Atlanta History Center. Exceptional Documented example and will be very hard to upgrade from. Size: 27 5/8" L x17 3/8" W x 5" T.
