Crawford Co. Signed 'H' Gilbert Hartley 1gal Jug
Description
Great Crawford County, Georgia Signed "H" Gilbert Hartley One Gallon Jug. This example has a strong capital H stamped on the handle with a modified lime alkaline glaze that encases the entire jug. This example is one of the harder stamps to acquire and is from the 1890s to the 1900s time. One note about Mr. Hartley he married into the Becham family and is listed as a Potter in Crawford County Georgia. This example is in collector grade condition, with one insignificant handle edge flake see pictures. No other chips, cracks or repairs are present. Provenance: fresh to the market example from a local Athens GA collection. Standing: 11 ???" Tall
