Crawford Co. 'FLB' Franklin L. Becham 3gal Jug
Description
Monumental Signed Crawford County Georgia "FLB" Franklin Lafayette Becham (1871-1958) Three Gallon Jug. 1890-1900 time period. Folks this one is as good as it comes with the "FLB" stamped in the handle the form and the glaze, this one’s the Holy Grail of the Becham family. One would look for many years to find an example half as good as this one, in my opinion this example is the finest example I have personally seen. This example is coveted by southern pottery collectors and also this example is truly in an institutional grade piece. Also note at the base you will see what looks to be another FLB stamp that the glaze has filled in it is also noted that fade stamp the midsection of pieces not just on the handle this can be found in other signed Fate examples that are stamped in this manner. Again, folks I can’t stress enough how special this piece truly is pictures do not do it justice. This is a fresh to the market example from a 40-year plus private collection. It will be extremely difficult to upgrade from this example due to the fantastic condition with one insignificant rim edge flake no other chips, no hairlines, and no repairs present. Truly a Cagle Top Shelf Example, find another one folks. Standing: 12 7/8" Tall
