Description
Fine 1880’s Jackson Co. Georgia Jug Tavern attributed to the Bell shop, this two gallon jug with a striking ablany slip glaze over a salt that has a two scratched into the top shoulder under the mouth of jug. The jug is of great form and strong eye appeal and shows outstanding. This piece has two different punch marks of where three punch marks in a line, see pictures. This is a stellar addition to any stoneware collection epically Jackson County of Georgia, and is in excellent condition. Has a drying line, ( not a hairline ) rings true and is water tight. No repairs or cracks. Standing 11" Tall
