Scarce Signed "P" Thomas Jackson Pyles (1858-1905) Crawford Co. Quart Jug. Folks talk about the belle of the ball with this signed Pyles "P" quart beehive jug. I am almost at a loss for words to have two of the most sought after marks "P" in Crawford Co. jugs in one auction, let alone under one roof. This barn find in middle Georgia is an amazing piece. The jug has a great glaze and classic Pyles form with little wear on the lip and one handle flake, again these truly are insignificant. Glaze is very nice on this one with paint rock and Lime glaze makes for great eye appeal. Folks, you simply wont see another one surface, No one has ever heard of this size. Simply Find another one folks. And, yes, this is a rare bird. No cracks or repairs. Light wear from age and use. Standing: 9" Tall
