Fine Crawford County Flower Pot Pitcher with strong attribution to the Merritt shop. This is one of the South’s most iconic forms and is highly collectible in southern pottery. The glaze on this one is very nice with a modified lime and paint rock glaze. These are also noted as rice cookers from locals in Crawford County. Time period 1880-1900 range. No cracks or repairs. From the Mona Lowe collection. Standing 5 1/2" Tall x 11 3/8" Wide from spout to handle.
Condition: The overall condition is very good with typical glaze flakes and on chip on rim edge. This is normal due to use and age.
