Stunning Edward Stone (1817-1865) Buncombe County North Carolina Jar that has an outstanding glaze and is one of the earliest known potters in Western North Carolina with Edgefield South Carolina potting traits and this one shows those roots. Premium glaze and form. Fantastic feldspathic glaze that has great eye appeal. Found in a spring house in North Carolina. Fresh from a North Carolina collection. Standing 9" T x 6 1/2" W
Condition: Condition, small stress line about a inch long in rim, minor rim glaze flake and no repairs.
