Stunning Blount Co. Davidson Family Canning Jar. This is an outstanding example of the Davidson family who came from North Georgia pre-civil war. The family left Habersham Co. Georgia and settled in the mountain region of North Alabama after 1854. This jar has a rich, classic Davidson alkaline glaze with outstanding form and condition. Davidson pieces like this just don’t turn up especially in Georgia, let alone Alabama. When it comes to condition, this jar is basically mint. Repair free. Simply find a better example in this condition. Standing 11" Tall.
