Fine Seven Gallon Edgefield Double Handle Sorghum Jug 1840’s. This is an outstanding jug and has both handles broken off. One knows why due the the vessel being so heavy. Note this was done before it was fired and the handles show the firing black color on handle. The jug was found in a barn in Taliaferro County, Georgia. This is one outstanding jug and would be a fine project for restoration or just simply left alone. No cracks or repairs. Small lip chip, from normal use & age. Standing 15 1/2" Tall
