Significant Caesar (1872- Died after 1960) Johnson Large Rice Fanner Basket from Hilton Head Island South Carolina, made circa 1920. This basket descended in the families of Savannahians who purchased them from dealers and makers in Savannah between 1915-1940’s. Family history states – they were all produced by African American maker named Caesar Johnson. Highly sought after example. Size 17" Diameter and 4"
