Fine Walter Flemming Electric Blue 4 Handled Vase. Born 1937 in Rowan County, One of the oldest Catawba Valley potters alive at this time, a local of Statesville NC retired Presbyterian minister, got his interest in pottery soon after he discovered some clay deposits on his land near Third creek. Walter and Burlon became great friends and took alot of value in understanding the craft and using some of the seen ideas of Burllons master skills. Today Walter is a master potter and his works bears some fine tradition of the Catawba Valley potters. This electric blue jar with four handles is a outstanding example with a rich cobalt glaze that encases the entire jar. Condition is mint and is a outstanding example. Fresh from a North Carolina collection and standing 15 1/4" Tall
