Lot 1:
Two gallon Steinhardt Bros. & Co. New York Stencil Jug that has a slip glazed top and a bristol glazed body. Brothers were Lewis, Henry, Morris & David J. in the 1880s and the first three of these brothers were had a common address but each one of them had their own shop. They were in business from 1885-1918 and this jug is early 1900s. Strong stencil and is in overall great shape for age and wear. Has very insignificant glaze flakes on top of lip. Fresh example out of a Athens estate and standing 12 3/4" Tall Also has a 2 stamped on back at base.
