Stunning Crawford Co. Signed "EM" Emmett Merritt ( 1877-1937 ) Four Gallon Jug. I don’t say this often but this is one of the finest pieces of southern stoneware I have ever saw hands down. The glaze on this just is outstanding and their is nothing more to say but this is the Best Of The Best, Bottom Line. The jug is a double handle sorghum jug signed EM with a clear strong stamp and is from one the Georgia famous pottery dynasties, Merritt Family. When it comes to condition, a very small edge flake on the handle see pictures. Other than that their is NO other chips, No Cracks, No Repairs. This is a Top Shelf example that is a must for any southern pottery collector. Simply put Find Another One. Standing 16" Tall
