Fine North Carolina Three Gallon Decorated Storage Jar early 1870s and has strong wavy comb decoration with a three inch of solid comb line decoration and two fantastic iron burst. One interesting note on the handle has grooved ridges along the tops of the lug handle. This has a great earthy light honey alkaline glaze. The Condition is overall very good has two glaze pops on the back middle side of the jar. The rim has two insignificant drying lines on the flat top of the rim and has been glazed over during firing. Fine southern example and has no repairs and no chips. Fresh example standing 12 1/2" Tall
