Stunning Sand Mountain TJ Henry Decorate 2gal Jar
Description
Stunning TJ Henry museum quality Sand Mountain, Dekalb County Alabama decorate two gallon jar. This is a rare bird being a double handle jar in two gallon size, with a outstanding glaze and decoration. The jar is a rich earthy brownish huges that have dark contrast to rich golden honey colored body and the pictures don’t do this example justice. When it comes to decorations this one has some great decorations with wavy line at the top rim and more wavy decoration at the top of the shoulder. Then large comb decorations you see twice with also concentric line as well. This is a scarce example with outstanding small size, form and decoration and is sure to please any eye. Condition, has a very small museum caliber restoration to two rim flakes very small and expertly done. One very minor tight line restoration and stabilization half inch area. Out of a southwest area Atlanta collection, and will make a fine addition to any Alabama or southern collection. Standing 12" Tall x 7 1/2" Wide at base.
