Stunning Crawford Co. Signed "JM" Jack Merritt Jug
Description
Stunning Crawford Co. Signed "JM" Jack Merritt Jug in two gallon size and stamped "JM" Jackson Merritt (1859-1935) on the handle. This is one of the best examples of a Crawford Co. glaze one could want. This jug has a strong paint rock with bold modified lime runs on the jug and is just striking. This is a truly top shelf example, and museum quality example, I have to say this is a truly priceless example. First one I have seen this good of a glaze. You will look long and hard for many years to find a example like this one. The jug is in excellent condition with only two very minor glaze flakes in the lip, from age and typical use. This jug has No chips, cracks or repairs. Fresh from a Athens area collection. Stands 15" Tall
