Early Crawford County Becham Shop 3gal Jar 1870s. This is one of Crawford County’s most sought-after families in this area. Early Becham jars are very scarce and do not surface at auction. This example has a modified lime alkaline glaze classic double handles of Washington Becham "WB" and is unsigned strong WB attribution by the handles. As far as conditions are concerned, the typical rim chips around the rim in one edge handle chip both handles are original and intact with no cracks or repairs present. A true fresh find. This is the fourth Becham jar I have ever offered in this form. Standing 14 1/2 tall
