Fine Billy Merritt (1861-1929) Signed "WD" ( William Dennis) Three Gallon Crawford County Double Handle Jar. This example is extremely beautiful with strong eye appeal from a rich mature lime alkaline glaze with bold runs and classic double handles. The jar has the more sought after WD stamp on the handle and 3 stamped on the other handle. This jar there’s truly a Cagle Top Shelf Example, and collector grade condition. 2 insignificant glazed chips one on the rim edge and one on the handle edge that is stamped WD. No cracks or repairs present. This jar will be extremely difficult to upgrade from. Standing: 15" tall
