Stellar Crawford County, Georgia Flower Pot Pitcher With a stunning modified lime and paint rock alkaline glaze note this example here is truly an exceptional example of form in glaze from the merit shop. These examples are also known in the local Crawford County community as rice cookers. These examples are considered highly sought after and important form of southern utilitarian pottery. This example here is a collector grade 2 and would be considered a Cagle Top Shelf Example. Condition: does have a few typical insignificant small tips on the rim and typical wire to the spout, again none of this is distracting or detracting from the value but truly authenticates examples in this manner. You will also note some drawings crack very typical of the top 15 walls of the pitcher, these are not hairlines and are considered normal in these examples. No repairs are present. Standing: 6 ???"
