Description
Great E.E. McPherson Sand Mountain, Alabama Cream Riser. This great cream riser out of sand mountain has a fantastic rich golden honey alkaline glaze and the classic sand mountain cream riser form that is strongly attributed to E. E McPherson based off of other documented signed examples from the region. This example is in collector grade condition with no damage and has a unique Kim kiss on one side from top to bottom where another piece touched during the firing, this is common on Edmund cream risers. A fantastic addition to any Alabama stoneware collection. Provenance: Years ago, this example was in the Countryman & Forbes collection and was traded for many years ago, now (present day) from a private central Alabama collection. Standing: 7" Tall x 8" Wide
Condition: Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs present.
