Description
Fine one gallon Davidson Preserve Jar of Blount County Alabama. This example has fantastic form and strong eye appeal due to a rich dark golden honey Alkaline glaze. These examples are highly significant due to most of them are found heavily damaged but this example being in strong collector grade condition with only one insignificant rim edge chip. This example will make a fine addition to any southern stoneware collection. This glaze puts it in a Cagle Top Shelf Example. Provenance: Years ago, this example was in the Countryman & Forbes collection and was traded for many years ago, now (present day) from a Private central Alabama collection. Condition: One insignificant small rim edge chip, no cracks or repairs present. Standing: 12" Tall
