Sterrett 3 Gallon Lug Handle Jar
Description
Fine and early Sterrett 3 Gallon Lug Handle Jar. Monumental example of a Early Sterrett three-gallon lug handle jar this example has a lime alkaline glaze and a scratch 3 on the front shoulder bearing 2 deep lug handles. Early examples of these are extremely difficult to find and the condition that this jar is in is just fantastic basically as it was made. This example will make a fantastic addition to any Alabama or southern stoneware collection. A true Cagle top shelf example. Condition: one tight stress line 1 ???" long outside on the jar only, note this is not considered as a hairline crack, jar rings true. No other damage or repairs are present. Standing: 15" Tall
