Southern Pottery & Folk Art Auction
Lot 38:
Description
Scarce Crawford County Georgia Signed "JWB"Jackson Becham (1857-?) One Gallon Jug, from the 1880s-1900s time period. This is only the second known sign JWB example I have ever brokered/auctioned, these examples are highly significant and sought after and simply do not show up on the market. This example bears a lime alkaline glaze with a strong stamp in the handle and is in collector grade top shelf condition. This example will be virtually impossible to upgrade from due to scarcity. Provenance: fresh example to the market from a private 40 plus year collection. Standing: 9 ???" Tall
Condition: Condition you couldn’t ask for any better no damage, chips cracks or repairs present. This example will make a fine addition for any Crawford County or southern pottery aficionado, would also fit well in any museum. A truly rare example folks find another one.
