Southern Pottery, Primitives, & Folk Art
Lot 64:
Fine Scarce Crawford County Georgia Coffee Boiler. These are some of the most sought after forms in southern pottery, and the glaze on this one does not disappoint. The form is early middle period around 1880’s and has a striking glaze with caramel colored body with dark line runs. Only a few of these are known to exist in this form. Again highly important form, that is fresh to the market from a private Georgia collection. Condition has a few rim chips and a glaze flake, and one spout chip. Again these are nothing major, typical wear and age for utilitarian stoneware. Premium example standing 10" Tall
