Fine Edgefield South Carolina William F. Hahn Two Gallon Jar with a rich sandish tan background into a rich earthy brown alkaline glaze. Has a 2 stamped on the shoulder. One odd impression at just above the base (see pictures) is a O and the glaze filled in, it was no doubtfully out their, so we can rule out a piece of grass-straw or that nature. This is a outstanding example with strong eye appeal and are highly sought after in this glaze. Circa last quarter of the 19th century. Condition has two glaze flakes that was professionally restored and very hard to tell, these are nothing major see pictures. Great fresh example standing 13" Tall
